Inspection
Centrals' inspectors are trained to conduct thorough inspections and identify pests that may be present in your
facility. Visual inspections of interior and exterior conditions will provide valuable information regarding the location
of active pest infestations enabling Centrals' technicians to concentrate their placement of insecticides where the pests
are, avoiding unnecessary over application of the chemicals. In addition, these inspections help
to provide our technicians with the proper specifications for the placement of any necessary equipment such as: rodent control
stations, monitors, fly lights, etc.
Evaluation
Based on the initial inspection,
a comprehensive "Quality Assured" pest control program is devised for the facility. The treatment
program is devised using EPA registered pesticides in the most effective and appropriate formulations. These applications
may include: baits, traps, crack and crevice treatments, flushing agents, insect growth regulators and/or residual treatments.
The number and type of rodent control stations are determined as well as the intervals for placing these stations. Maintenance
and sanitation deficiencies are also noted for correction by the facility personnel.
Monitoring
Insect and rodent monitors are strategically placed in each facility to trap portions of the pest population and identify
areas of other pest activity. Additionally if you are a log book account, your pest sightings log sheet keeps a running
record of the these sightings to monitor levels of activity on a continuing basis. This monitoring is an integral
part of our service.
Managed Product Use
The goal of our "Quality
Assured Program" is to develop a comprehensive program to handle pest management issues without total reliance
on pesticide products.
Service Visits
Centrals' "Quality Assured
Program" consists of a comprehensive initial service followed by regulary
scheduled services to continuously maintain the pest population below established threshold levels.
Initial Service
Central Exterminating will conduct an intensive initial service to
reduce the pest population to a workable level. This service will include:
• Placing monitors in
sensitive areas where food, water, or harborage may be present.
• Install exterior rodent bait stations to
reduce rodent population around dumpsters, docking areas and main drains. (Where applicable)
• Treat wall
voids and other key areas with residual liquids, dust and/or gel treatments to control cockroach populations.
• Provide assessments of structural deficiencies or sanitation issues that may contribute to infestations.
• The use of micro-injectors and/or E-1 foggers to help reduce heavy pest populations. (Where applicable)
• The use of Hepa Vacuums to help reduce heavy pest populations without the use of additional pesticides. (Where applicable)
Recurring Service
The purpose of our recurring service is to continuously
maintain the pest population below established thresholds levels. Depending on the degree of infestation, the size of
the structure, or other mitigating factors, the service frequency would be; Once per month, twice per month or weekly. During your regularly scheduled recurring services, Centrals' technician will:
• Perform a thorough
inspection
• Review the Pest Sightings Log. (If you are a log book account)
• Replace monitors
and other products as necessary.
• Inspect and treated if needed potential harborage areas
•
Make recommendations to reduce conditions conducive to infestations.
• Make a preventative application of
insecticides in those areas where potential problem most likely occur.
Record Keeping
It is important to establish an effective reporting system as part of any good pest control program. Central
Exterminating will provide you with the following reports:
Invoice/Service ticket
This document describes the pertinent account information along with: the type of service rendered, the date service was
rendered, the target pest treated for, the equipment used, the insecticides used, the name of the active ingredient used,
the % of the insecticide used, equipment installed and any information to communicate to the account regarding maintenance
and sanitation issues. The invoice will also contain the signature and DEP license # of the servicing technician and the customers
signature.
Maintenance/Sanitation Report
This report is not used with every
service. However, when the technician deems it necessary to convey his findings to the customer in writing, he uses
this report. The technician discusses this report in detail with someone on site. He leaves a copy with his invoice
and another copy is returned to the office and placed in the customers file for future reference.
Pest
Control Log Book
For those accounts requiring a higher degree of recording information regarding the
pest control program at their facility, Central provides a "Log Book". In addition to the
Maintenance/Sanitation report discussed above, this book contains, Labels and Material Safety Data Sheets of all the pesticides
used at this site, copies of the service tickets for each service, sighting logs, standards of pest control service and inspecting
procedures for that particular type of business, a schedule of the services provided, a map of all the rodent control stations
with their location marked out along with any other pertinent information regarding the pest control service for this facility.
Other
Central also provides all documentation required by the New Jersey DEP, Federal,
State and Local Health Departments.
Integrated Pest Management Programs
Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is the most advanced pest management program available today. The goal of IPM is
to develop a comprehensive system of handling pest management issues without total reliance on pesticide products. As we described
in Centrals' "Quality Assured Program" this has always been Centrals' approach. I guess you can say
that Central has been practicing IPM for a very long time !
Certain facilities have now taken IMP to an
even higher level. (Such as schools) They exclusively rely on baiting, trapping and exclusion techniques along with
"Green" insecticides (natural insecticides not requiring a EPA registration number) to keep their pest problems
under control. Central fully complies to these programs and realizes that eventually, this will be the future of
"Pest Control"!

Central Exterminating is committed
